hey guys!! 

fun weekend.. what a amazing time we had over our Mini-Emerge weekend.

For most of you who are really quite NEW with us, Emerge started in 2003 and is really a FANTASTIC time just for the youth! You can join all the exciting competitions and anyone can take part in cheerleading and Talent Time - its a time for you to showcase and shine with your talents, no matter what is it (: And pastor would preach the most mind-blowing messages to inspire the youth! We'll have sessions from morning 10am to night 10.30pm, 3 days straight!! We practically camp at church. the 2000-seater hall is simply too small for ALL the youth, so many of us will just SQUEEZE into the hall, sitting on floor and stairs.. I remember sitting right behind the sound console on the floor, cant see the screen at all! Haha. We would queue for like 3 hours, in the hot and stuffy carpark and with red & white tape separating the queue. It was a really great privelege to praise and worship with such a great atmosphere of faith and expectancy!

So what you guys experienced.. Its just a tip on the ice-berg!! HAHA but nvm, there will be greater conferences to come.. So sit tight and hold on to your seatbelts! (: 

BTW I just wanna say a GREAT BIG THANKS for my banner and soft toy. I just look at it and feel so happy. You guys are the best!! W319 rocks!! And thanks for all your prayers cos i experienced 2 miracles and I know its not by accident.. 

1. A verse I knew very well came out (out of all 30 verses im supposed to memorised, which most i really am very unsure) 

2. An old friend of mine, Wei Ming, actually smsed me the same night. That a few years ago, when i was just a young girl (haha i still am!) I explained the exact same verse to him after our cgm and we were also memorizing Word Power verses for Emerge! He said that its really very meaningful to him, and congratulated me on doing a great job. I was so touched, and I cannot even remember.. Its amazing how when you take the time to sow into people's lives, eventually it will come back to you. So encouraged!

The answer is because... I want to teach you the meaning of a cellgroup that plays together, stays together.

A cellgroup is special. Because we come from different backgrounds, different ages, different schools, live in different areas, may think differently and have different personalities... It takes real love to overcome our differences, to forgive others, to be big-hearted and learning to laugh & enjoy each other's company. To know that to worship the same God means you are linked in a way that cannot be found anywhere else. You're brothers and sisters. You're family.

God is alive and more than willing to do a miracle in our live, amen? Hi guys, 

post-exam stress reliever.. Sentosa Outing! We had a short CG meeting.. praised God in the natural surroundings.. very nice!! We also played super fun games.. Captain's Banana - playing captain's ball with a banana instead.. it was SO FUNNY. i regretted not taking any pictures.. one minute banana is flying in the air.. the next.. the banana is SPLAT all over someone.. i believe norman, jonathan had alot of banana all over their shirts and faces. HAHAHA. Then we played Dog & Bone and Balloon Mania.. to be continued in the pictures!

Me, Esther & Liz had a fantastic meeting with Dr Nikko yesterday, Tuesday. He's the great church-planter and founder of a great Indonesian Church. Pastor Kong really respects him as an apostle and a great man of God. We were very honoured to have him and his band lead us for a fantastic combined leaders' meeting! We sang really really nice indonesian (translated to english) worship songs and danced as a whole church, the atmosphere was fantastic! Presence of God was so tangible. At the end of the meeting, he laid hands on all the CGLs and staff and we really recieved a great impartation from him. 

Just wanna share with all of you.. as I was going down to the altar call, praying with great anticipation and hunger to recieve something from God.. I felt God asking me, what is it that you want to recieve? and i answered.. Greater capacity. And later on, when Pastor Nikko prayed for me, i really felt the anointing, and i knew i had recieved it in the spirit. A greater capacity for the cg, the zone, the church, my school, my dreams, my visions.. to do greater things for him. to live for more than myself and my needs.

I really feel that as a cg, we need to have greater capacity. A greater capacity to live for God and not just ourselves.. to be able to care for another person in the cg, to look out for someone's else's wellbeing, to put ourselves in another person's shoes.. and not just limited to our own needs and wants. The Christian life is one of Christ-living, and not self-living. 

And the only way this CG is going to have greater capacity, is through greater unity. We need to be more united. Unity means no one is left behind, nobody is out, everyone is in it together. EVERY SINGLE PERSON in W319. not just you and your clique, you and your friends, but everybody. We're more than friends - God's love holds us together. We're family.
