service was awesome today! pple going tmr, be prepared to have your mind blown away by the message :D pastor shared about how the SHANG DI worshipped by the ancient chinese is really the same as our Lord God (: amazing.

really feel so much for my unsaved parents at home, especially my mum who is very close to me. indeed only through prayer and real love that doesnt give up that our loved ones will know God. lets pray that our entire family will join us in heaven yea? jiayou!!

in other news... lets welcome... pretty pretty JOEY!!! who came for the very first time for our service today! and of cos... AGNES!! the one who is older and wiser than she looks.. dont underestimate her guys! so glad you two came today..

and in a very random pic today.. we went to jurong point to fellowship.. and the GUYS - Cheng Siang and Zhi Xiang became men with real servanthood forced willingly, of cos. here's the proof !

hey everyone, just wanna share what i just shared with the connect group leaders..

From Isaiah 6:9-10

9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people:
‘ Keep on hearing, but do not understand;
Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’

10 “ Make the heart of this people dull,
And their ears heavy,
And shut their eyes;
Lest they see with their eyes,
And hear with their ears,
And understand with their heart,
And return and be healed.”

this is God speaking to the prophet Isaiah to tell this to His people [the ancient Christians, Jews], who was disobedient at that time, which eventually lead to their destruction. but it can also speak to us..

when i saw this verse, it spoke right to my heart.. its possible to hear and not understand, see and not perceive.

for example, your leader talks to you about an area in your life - you hear him/her but you don't understand what he or she is talking abt, and you continue with doing whatever you want to do. or sitting in a service - your neighbour's mindset could be changed forever, but you don't feel a single thing.

for me i really feel.. its so scary to know that when God speaks, we hear but we choose to shut our ears, we see but we shut our eyes, we have a heart that does not understand. as a cellgroup, lets be people that are always open to God, amen?

let this be a verse for the cg

9 Keep on hearing, AND understand;
Keep on seeing, AND perceive.’

10 “ Make the heart of this people UNdull,
And their ears NOT heavy,
And OPEN their eyes;
that they SEE with their eyes,
And HEAR with their ears,
And UNDERSTAND with their heart,

God gave us ears, eyes, and an understanding heart.. lets use it.. lets be open to

Hey Guys! Its the Moo Moo year already! Lunar New Year has finally arrived! Go and look at the Moon! Its a FULL CIRCLE! There is going to be an Eclipse today! Whereby the Shadow of the Sun covers the Moon! It only happens once in year! Don't miss it! :) Well, just wanna wish our Cell group all the best throughout the whole year! Just like what the Pastors has said! 2009 will be the best year yet! So I wanna believe that our Cell Group will experience many GREAT things as we pass this year together! Lets leave all the past behind. Start anew and let the Holy spirit guide & lead us in everything we do! Continue to read the Bible and have a daily prayer with God to always be filled and charged up with the Holy Spirit! Never lose faith in yourself as it is said in the Bible that all things are possible with God!

hehehe.. so we had a fun cny service.. and a fantastic word of God being shared..

our God is indeed the God of all ages. and all races, all people, and especially the Chinese. even before the various buddhism, etc, there was God they worshipped, recorded in Chinese history! its in our blood (: so super blown away by what pastor kong shared about how God worked even through the Chinese language!
always remember this word, meaning God [The Lamb Jesus] over Me = Righteousness. lets be righteous pple with God over our lives.. (:

actually i was really touched by the chinese worship, and everything chinese in our cny service.. maybe its because im chinese as well, or my heart is really for the chinese-speaking world. always feel that tug on my heart, that God really loves the chinese. that Christianity is really not just this western religion.. Christ died for everyone. the lyrics of the chinese worship just touched someting on the inside of me.

oh man i wanted to upload the lyrics, complete with translation but i cant find it :( when i find it will edit. watch this space!

we have all gone shopping crazy!! today (thursday) has proved to be the most tiring one yet.. but fun!!

Zhi Xiang shopped the most - with $113.90 dollars he bought:
1. 1 Pair of Grey Sneakers $18.90

3. 1 Vest [Very shuai] $25

hey guys this friday is our very own chinese new year cg! cos its chinese new year, its going to be very relaxed, very fun and with great fellowship!
for people who didnt understand my sms.. you got to:

1. bring a chinese new year goodie (bakwa, pineapple tarts, egg rolls, etc)
for example im bring yu sheng. sms norman what you're bringing before everyone snatches the easy ones.. (:

2. bring a present for your prayer buddy! wrapped in an angbao.. can be anything small enough to squeeze inside, ie. accesories, keychains.. for example jing will bring for germaine, then germaine will bring for jing.. its called present exchange k! if you dont know who your prayer buddy is, pls ask me! i will tell you (after wacking you upside down for not keeping the w319 vision paper) if you dont have a prayer buddy its okay no need to worry, just bring yourself. :D

its really late and jing really should be sleeping. but just wanna share some stuff and put it down on the blog before i rest.. (:

i just had a really good conference call with the connect group leaders, shared with them alot of things.

Part 1 W319 vision 2009.
really believe our cg is going to breakthrough like never before in 2009.. it will be our best year yet!! our core focus is:

1. Discipleship
im going to put in more effort in training all of you to not just be casual believers, church attenders, but to transform each and everyone of you into men and women of God!! nothing is impossible if you let God work in your lives and heart..

2. Revival!!
A healthy tree will always see fruits.. lets be a CG that will keep growing, keep bearing fruits!! lets reach out to pple with the love of God..

3. Family
let's never lose the family love we have for each other.. why i put this down even though we are already the most loving cg in the world (allow me to be biased) is because we should never take each other for granted! lets treasure the relationship we have with each and every cg member.. this is the people you grow up with, your family :D

By March: 22 disciples for God!!

amen?? all things shall be possible.. because God is on our side!! YEA :D

The Eternal Reward
Pastor John shared about facing the judgement of Christ when we all go to heaven.. Jesus will not judge us by our sins, but by what we have done for Him and His kingdom. There are 5 types of crowns mentioned in the bible that we will recieve in Heaven.. every crown is backed by a bible verse.

1. Crown of Life [Lover's Crown]
James 1:12

This crown is the first crown, and is given when you have loved God so deeply you have disciplined your flesh and overcame temptation to obey God.. Without this crown, you don't qualify for the rest of the crowns.. This crown tests your personal relationship with God.

2. Crown of Rejoicing [Soul Winner's Crown]
1 Thess2:19

This crown is given when you have been a soul winner, a person who wins souls for Christ, bringing people to the love of God through persistence and genuine care + testimony.. A person with great faith to keep on sowing..

3. Imperishable Crown
1 Cor 9: 24-27

This crown is for the person who has shown strength and capacity.. It is given when you have been a good finisher, you perservered throughout the tough and impossible situations to stick to what God has called you to do..

4. Crown of Righteousness
2 Tim 4:7-8

This crown is for the pure-hearted, is for you when you have served God with no other motive except to glorify Him, when you have kept yourself pure and guarded your heart.

5. Crown of Glory
1 Peter 5:2-4

the last crown is when you have taken good care of other believers God has placed in your life. there is anointing in leadership, in ownership of the sheep God has entrusted to you. to take good care means to honour, to value, to cherish.

when Yilun was preaching the thing that touched my heart was the one about the crown of life, the lover's crown.. lets qualify for that. the one that sacrifices for the God you love.. the one that is the most vital of them all. lets be a generation that makes our lives count for eternity! lets be a generation of people that will let God use us in all the ways above, that when we recieve all our 5 crowns, God will say to us: well done, good and faithful servant.. amen?

its really my heart's desire as a cg let us be such a blessing to this world, to the kingdom of God.. lets be a light that shines! :D

some photos of my zone meeting today...
it was an awesome first zone meeting of 2009 (: annointed worship and word sharing.. lun, you're so amazing!! great capacity.. guys, do you know she only finished her 1 month confinement on last saturday, and today she drove us to her house, lead the entire meeting, and almost wanted to play guitar and work today when she's on leave?? cos the baby actually need feeding every 2 hours - she can only sleep 2-3 hours max at a time, can you imagine?! she's really very very tired and her body is still recovering.. lets keep her in prayer okay! yilun you're our inspiration!! :D (i just told her about the blog, hope she will read this.. hahaha)

okok. some announcements too. ok so ive put up more pics with the sweethearts on our bugis outing.. also, ive added something called DA RULES. pls read, is important!! because eventually im going to let more of you blog, lets learn blogging ettiquette, k? heh. another impt thing. jon, im changing my password cos its actually the same as my gmail so quite sensitive, i'll give you guys a new password soon. thats all for now!
